HUBUNGAN OBESITAS DAN KUALITAS TIDUR PENDERITA DM DI PUSKESMAS SABOKINGKING SUNGAI BUAH
Background: Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder disease characterized by hyperglycemia due to impaired insulin sensitivity and insufficiency by the pancreas. This disease is a catastrophic disease because it has a high prevalence and incidence every year throughout the world. Health cases that can arise in diabetics are sleep problems, one of the factors affecting the sleep quality of DM patients is obesity. Method: This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. Analytical means that this study aims to analyze the relationship between obesity and sleep quality in DM patients. The data in this study are primary data through questionnaire form PSQI is a standard questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately and presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. Furthermore, it was analyzed bivariately to determine the relationship and OR value. Results: The results of this study showed that of the 84 respondents, the majority of respondents were women who were obese with poor sleep quality. Based on test chi square Mark p-value of 0.014. Value resultp-value of the gender of DM patients and obesity by 1,000, gender of DM patients and sleep quality (p=0.252). Conclusion: The majority of respondents with diabetes mellitus are obese, and experience poor sleep quality. There is a significant relationship between obesity and sleep quality of DM patients at the Sabokingking Health Center. There is no statistical relationship between gender in DM patients with obesity and sleep quality.
