This research purposes to describing how the students learning economics in the eleventh-grade social sciences class at SMA Sriwijaya Negara in the academic year of 2020/2021. In this research, the researcher used descriptive qualitative research, then for data collecting technique the researcher used 3 steps, they are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. For data analysis techniques the researcher used data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/ verification. Based on The results of the research, it was stated that the learning method of students with academic achievement in economics subjects in class XI IPS was in the good category with a percentage of 81%. Supported from interview data to teachers that outstanding students already have a good way of researching economics during the economics learning process. The percentage results for each indicator of how to learn, namely tudents excel in economic subjects, How to make a student study schedule, an independent economics study schedule is carried out by students for 20- 45 minutes the night before or in the afternoon after studying economics online with the teacher. How to read books on economics material for outstanding students is to get used to reading 5-10 minutes before the learning process begins, reading techniques used are speed reading such as reading and understanding material concept maps, reading material sub-chapters. How to make notes on economic material is to note the important points of the material in sequence, give colors or symbols on the notes, record the material in their own language. How to repeat economics material by reading and re-understanding the material, working on questions related to the material being studied. The way to concentrate is to study in a clean place and away from crowds and always prepare material before teaching and learning activities take place. The way to do the task is to be independent and earnestly according to understanding and long before the collection time is set.Based on this research, it is expected that high achieving students will continue to maintain their learning methods to keep achieving achievements in learning, and this way of learning for high achieving students can be used by all students as motivation to improve their learning methods.
