HUBUNGAN ASUPAN ZAT GIZI MAKRO, PENGETAHUAN GIZI DAN PENYAKIT INFEKSI DENGAN KEJADIAN KURANG ENERGI KRONIS PADA REMAJA PUTRI SMA NEGERI 1 TANJUNG RAJA
Chronic energy deficiency (CED) is one of the nutritional problems that occur in adolescents. KEK occurs due to lack of energy and protein intake for a long time. In 2018 the prevalence of CED in adolescent girls aged 15-19 years in South Sumatra Province was 33.74%. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between macronutrient intake, nutritional knowledge and history of infectious diseases with the incidence of CED in adolescent girls. This research was conducted in July-August 2021. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples is 74 people using purposive sampling. Data on macronutrient intake was obtained by interview using a food recall form 3 x 24 hours, while data on nutritional knowledge and history of infectious diseases were obtained through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using statistical applications with Chi-Square test and Nutrisurvey applications. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 56.8% of respondents experienced CED. Bivariate results showed that there was a correlation between a history of infectious disease (p=0.019) and the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. This study also showed that there was no correlation between energy intake (p=0,328), protein intake (p=0,288), fat intake (p=1,000), carbohydrate intake (p=0,367) and nutritional knowledge (p=0,567) with the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. The conclusion from the results of this study is that there is a correlation between a history of infectious diseases and the incidence of KEK in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. On the other hand, there is no correlation between energy intake, intake of protein, fat, carbohydrates and nutritional knowledge with the incidence of KEK in adolescent girls of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. It is recommended for young women to maintain personal hygiene, sanitation and living environment in order to avoid infectious diseases that can be transmitted. Meanwhile, the school can provide hand washing facilities using soap as an ef ort to maintain sanitation hygiene in the school environment.
