PERBANDINGAN KUALITAS HIDUP MAHASISWA PREKLINIK DAN KLINIK DENGAN GIGI BERJEJAL TANPA PERAWATAN ORTODONTI (STUDI DI BAGIAN KEDOKTERAN GIGI DAN MULUT UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA)
Background: Crowding is a condition of teeth and mouth disorders that can affect quality of life. The level of education during the course of dentistry will affect the individual’s assessment of their quality of life, this is related to the knowledge gained during lectures that will affect the examination of teeth and mouth disorders. The aims of this study was to determine the quality of life of preclinical students and clinical students in dentistry study program of Sriwijaya University with crowding without orthodontics treatment. Methods: This study was an analytic survey method with a cross sectional design. This study involved 30 subjects. The study subjects consisted of a group of preclinical students (n = 15) and clinical students (n = 15) of dentistry study program of Sriwijaya University. The difference in quality of life was measured using the OHIP-14 questionnaire method online via google form. The questionnaire contains 14 questions and includes photos of the condition of the teeth and mouth. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test.
