ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN PENCEGAHAN DAN PENGENDALIAN INFEKSI PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI RUMAH SAKIT KABUPATEN MUSI RAWAS
Background: Up to July 2021, as many as 89 health workers were confirmed to have COVID-19 and 1 person died in Musi Rawas Regency which makes infection prevention and control is very important to be implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic as a reference for infection control in patients and health workers. Objective: To analyze the implementation of hospital policies in infection prevention and control during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Musi Rawas District Hospital. Methods: The qualitative method is used in this research by collecting observation data and in-depth interviews with 26 informants whom their primary duties and responsibilities affect the implementation of hospital policies. Data validation was carried out by method triangulation, source triangulation and data triangulation, then the data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results: showed that the hospital has coordinated and communicated with the district and provincial Health Offices. In terms of resources, there is still a shortage of hospital staff and the implementation of COVID-19 screening is not optimal. In terms of disposition of HR, policies are implemented consistently. The role of the bureaucratic structure is that hospital SOPs follow policies from the center government but there are still staff who are still negligent in implementing SOPs. The role of community support is still not well implemented. Conclusion: the implementation of the policy of the Musi Rawas District hospital has not been carried out optimally and there are still several obstacles in implementing the policy. Hospitals need to make regulations or rules for the enforcer and policy makers regarding how to disseminate and enforce regulations, monitoring, reviewing PPI regulations so that they can be carried out optimally and can run properly and orderly manner Keywords: Infection Prevention and Control, COVID-19, Health Workers References: 77 (2002-2021)
