EVALUASI PROGRAM ASI EKSKLUSIF DI PUSKESMAS INDRALAYA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Indralaya Health Center is one of the health centers with the lowest exclusive breastfeeding coverage in 2018 which is 31.5%, this coverage has not met the 80% breastfeeding target. This study aims to analyze the input and process components in the exclusive breastfeeding program at the Indralaya Health Center. This study uses qualitative methods with in-depth interviews, observation and document review. The informants in this study were 18 people who were divided into 2 criteria, namely the key informants were the nutrition program manager from the health office, the head of the public health center, the holder of the nutrition program at the puskesmas, the village midwife and 4 cadres. Supporting informants are 10 mothers who have babies aged over 6 months to 2 years with exclusive breastfeeding and not exclusive breastfeeding who live in the working area of the Indralaya Health Center. The results showed that the input component, namely human resources (counsellor officers) in quantity had met the standard but in practice it was still lacking because the officers had a double workload. Supporting facilities/infrastructure such as posters, leaflets and other supporting media have not met the standards of Minister of Health Regulation No. 15 of 20013. And there are no special funds for the Exclusive Breastfeeding Program. The implementation process has not been carried out in its entirety, namely only counseling activities that have just started, while breastfeeding counseling activities are not routinely carried out, namely only when there are complaints from patients because the exclusive breastfeeding program is not a priority program, the percentage for the implementation of exclusive breastfeeding in 2019 reached 45.61 % of the predetermined target of 50%. The conclusion of the study is that the implementation of the exclusive breastfeeding program at the Indralaya Health Center has not been maximized in several ways. The suggestion in this study is that the Indralaya Health Center can form a team of breastfeeding counselors who have received training by coordinating existing personnel such as health promotion staff, besides that they can also optimize facilities and infrastructure to support the implementation of the Exclusive Breastfeeding program at the Indralaya Health Center.
