PEMETAAN KAWASAN RAWAN BENCANA KABUT ASAP MENGGUNAKAN GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) DI KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR TAHUN 2019
Forest and wetland fires have become one of the most serious problems that Indonesia is facing nowdays. Wetland is a area with a very high fire potential, especially when entering the dry season. Fires constantly occured annually in the forest and wetland all around the country, including Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. Topographically Ogan Ilir is one of the areas that has a fairly wide wetland. Data from the South Sumatra Forest Service recorded, that there were 13,730 hectares of land that were burned throughout 2019. This study aims to map the haze disaster-prone area in Ogan Ilir in 2019. The method used in this study is spatial analysis based on the analysis of the threat index, and vulnerability index, where data related to fires is processed through the Geographic Information System (GIS) application. The data obtained is secondary data from the Regional Disaster Management Agency, the Central Statistics Agency and the Ogan Ilir District Health Office and also the Utilization Center for Deep Industry Institutions of the National Flight and Space. From the results of the mapping of the disaster-pron area of haze disaster in Ogan Ilir, it is known that the sub-districts that has a category as of high-scale haze disaster are in seven Districts, namely Indralaya, North Indralaya, South Indralaya, Pemulutan, Tanjung Batu, Payaraman and Rambang Kuang. Then the areas that have the category of middle-scale haze disaster are in six Districts, namely Lubuk Keliat, Pemulutan Barat, Tanjung Raja, Sungai Pinang, Muara Kuang, and Rantau Alai, while areas that has a category of low-scale haze disaster are located in three districts, namely South Pemulutan, Rantau Panjang and Kandis. From the results of the mapping it can be identifiying the cause of the prone haze disaster, especially in the sub-districts that are most affected by the fog distribution, so some prevention and mitigation efforts can be determined effectively to face these incident in the upcoming future.
