HUBUNGAN ANTARA LAMA PEMAKAIAN BISFOSFONAT DENGAN PERBAIKAN KLINIS PASIEN OSTEOPOROSIS DI KLINIK SU'ADAH PALEMBANG
Background: Osteoporosis is compromised bone strength caused by a systemic skeletal disorder that can cause deteriorating bone microarchitecture, characterized by a BMD result of 2.5 SD or higher below the average of normal young people or with a T-score of lower than -2.5. The great impact and the high incidence of osteoporosis in Indonesia require appropriate therapy such as bisphosphonates. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between the duration of use of bisphosphonate and clinical improvement in osteoporosis patients in Su'Adah Clinic in Palembang. Methods: This research used an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional design and used primary data. The sample was determined using the quota sampling technique in October 2021 with a sample of 60 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Clinical improvement in osteoporosis patients was assessed using the WHOQOL-BREF and NPRS questionnaires.
