Overweight and obesity are the world health problems with the number of prevalence increasing every year. One of the ways to prevent and treat overweight and obesity for teenagers is by providing health education. This study aims to determine the effect of comic media on knowledge and attitudes about diet and physical activity on teenagers. The research design used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test post-test with a control group design. The sample in this study were teenagers at SMP IT Cendikia Tulang Bawang, with 34 respondents for each experimental and control group. The sample taking used purposive sampling technique. The research data analysis used paired sample t-test with Wilcoxon alternative test and independent sample t-test with Mann Whitney alternative test. The results showed that there was a difference knowledge before and after the intervention was given for both the experimental group (p=0.000) and the control group (p=0.000) and there was difference attitude before and after the intervention was given for both the experimental group (p=0.000) and the control group (p=0.039). Furthermore, there was no significant difference between the knowledge of the respondents in the experimental and control group (p=0.220) and there was no significant difference between the attitudes of the experimental and control group (p=0.077). There was the education effect by using comic media and powerpoint on the knowledge and behavior about dietery habit and physic on the teenagers, there was no difference of the knowledge and behavior between comic experiment group with powerpoint control group. Through this research, it is expected that teenagers at SMP IT Cendikia Tulang Bawang can implement their knowledge related to diet and physical activity from the educational media that had been delivered.
