ABSTRACT GENOGRAMS AND HISTORY OF VIOLENCE IN SCHIZOPRENIA PATIENTS AT ERNALDI BAHAR PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL PALEMBANG (Melinda Wahyu Putri, January 2022, 63 pages) Medical Faculty of Sriwijaya University Background : Schizophrenia it self is defined as a functional psychotic disorder characterized by delusional beliefs, hallucinations, and disturbances in thinking, perception, and behavior. Schizophrenia has multifactorial risk factors, including a history of violence and family history. One way to identify the presence of family history risk factors in schizophrenic patients is to use a genogram instrument. This study is expected to provide information about the description of the genogram and history of violence in schizophrenic patients at the Ernaldi Bahar Psychiatric Hospital in Palembang. Methods: This study is a descriptive study that aims to describe the distribution of the genogram frequency and history of violence in schizophrenic patients in the inpatient room at the Ernaldi Bahar Psychiatric Hospital in Palembang for the period November-December 2021. The number of samples was 31 people taken with a total sampling technique. The data of this study were obtained from interviews using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately and presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. Next, narrated. Results: The results of this study showed that all patients were in the age range of 18-60 years (100%) with the most ages being 30, 35 and 39 years with 3 respondents. The research sample was dominated by men, as many as 90.3%, of which 71% of the respondents did not work. Most of the samples were unmarried (64.5%) and had a senior high school education (38.6%). A total of 54.8% of respondents had the same genogram, and as many as 51.6% of respondents had no history of violence. The type of schizophrenia is dominated by the paranoid type (74.2%), the comorbidities suffered are dominated by pulmonary disease and hypertension (6.5%). Conclusion: the description of the genogram, sociodemography, history of violence, comorbidities, and types of schizophrenia were distributed among 31 respondents with varying frequencies.
