HUBUNGAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH DENGAN SPONDILOLISTESIS DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: Spondylolisthesis is a vertebral displacement condition that often occurs in the lumbar spine. The lumbar vertebrae have a greater load than other vertebrae and have higher mobility. Body mass index (BMI) is an anthropometric measurement that is easy, simple, and most commonly used to assess an individual's level of obesity. An increase in BMI may reflect an increase in the load on the lumbar spine. This study aims to determine the correlation between BMI and spondylolisthesis at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Methods: This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional study design. The sample of this research is medical record data of patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis suspected of outpatient and inpatient at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period 1 January 2017 – 31 July 2021. The patient's medical record data was then analyzed for the correlation between BMI and the incidence of spondylolisthesis. Results: As many as 43.5% of spondylolisthesis patients were in the 56-65 year age category with a female to male ratio of p:l of 2.83:1 and the most frequent location of shifting was L4 – L5 (69.6%). From the results of the analysis, there was a significant correlation between the obese and obese BMI groups with the incidence of spondylolisthesis at Dr. RSUP. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang with p-value : 0.003. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between BMI and spondylolisthesis at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang.
