ABSTRACT Occupational diseases are a problem that is quite common in Indonesia, musculoskeletal disorders is one of the most common occupational disease. One of the risky jobs to experience Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) is the manufacture of tapis fabric. This is due to the process of making tapis fabric that requires precision with repeated movements in the process of "cucuk" when embroidering motifs on the fabric and takes a long time. This study wanted to find out the factors related to complaints Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) in Craftsmen Tapis Fabric in Negeri Katon Village Negeri Katon District, Pesawaran. This research is a quantitative study with a Cross Sectional design approach. The sampling is using purposive sampling technique. The sample of the research is 70 respondents of craftsmen tapis fabric in Negeri Katon Village. To find out Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints on craftsmen tapis fabric used Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaires and to know the risks of craftsman posture while working used worksheet Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). The data that has been obtained using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. Obtained from the results of research that has been analyzed that the variable age (p-value 0.001), working period (p-value 0.002), posture (p-value 0.001), and working time (p-value 0.000) there is a significant relationship with complaints Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs), but on the variable of sports habits (p-value 1,000) there is no connection with the complaints Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) on craftsmen tapis fabric in Negeri Katon Village.The conclusion of this study is factors related to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints including age, working period, posture, and length of work. The suggestion from this research are tapis fabric craftsmen should have an effective rest time, can take time to stretch and craftsmen get socialization from the local government about the importance of working with a safe and healthy working position.
