A recreational sports center in accordance with the RTRW for Palembang City, this place is designated as an area for sports and recreational activities for the community. In the city of Palembang itself requires a forum to foster interest in sports and increase achievement as a form of sports development as well as a public space, namely a sports center. In order to make the Sports Center an iconic active public space in Palembang City, there are 6 sports that are facilitated in this sports center including Futsal, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis, Jogging. Therefore, the building concept is with the emphasis of Modern Architecture. The meaning of Modern Architecture itself is a style or building concept that prioritizes the shape of the building over decorative ornaments. In other words, the modern design aesthetic is an upgrade from the decorated buildings of the past such as gothic and victorian designs. Modern design chooses an architectural theme that is built with certain materials, to ensure the simplicity and functionality of a building. To accommodate all these sports, the building uses glass and steel materials. The era of modern design came at a time when human resources were replaced by industrial machines.
