Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is one of the cardiovascular diseases that is still one of the important problems in the world. The high number of cases of CHD patients makes it the highest cause of death in recent years. Among the risk fact ors that affect the incidence of CHD are hypertension, DM, dyslipidemia, obesity, and smoking. Therefore, it is important to know the risk factors that affect the occurrence of CHD as an effort to prevent an increase in cases of death caused by it. This st udy aims to find out the risk factors associated with CHD. This research method is case control. The sample of 182 patients consisting of 91 CHD patients and 91 nonCHD patients, obtained from medical records data from January 2020 to December 2020. The da ta analysis used in this study was descriptive, bivariate with chi regression.square and multivariate with binary logistic In bivariate analysis results found that the risk factor associated with coronary heart disease is sex (p = 0.000). The most domina nt risk factors based on the results of multivariate analyses were gender and smoking history. Based on the risk factors that most dominantly affect the occurrence of CHD, namely sex and smoking history, it is important to pay more attention to health con . ditions, especially for men and prevent unhealthy lifestyle behaviors such as smoking
