KEANEKARAGAMAN SPESIES SERANGGA DI PERTANAMAN WORTEL (Daucus carota L.) DI DESA GUNUNG AGUNG PAGARALAM

The objective of the research was to investigate population, species and diversity of insect species on carrot vegetation. The research was conducted from May to June 2005 in Gunung Agung Village, Pagaralam. The experiment was conducted using survey method with purposive sampling. The insect species were collected by the pitfall trap, sticky trap and net trap. The research investigated the insect population and the diversity of them was analyzing by Shannon Index, the level of species domination was analyzing by Berger-Parker Index and mean level of species using a Pielou Index. The result showed on each field at carrot are consist of 10 ordo, 29 family and 31 species. Those insect consist of 14 family of pest insect, 8 family of predator, 2 family of disease vector, 2 family of parasitoid, 2 family of polynator and 1 family of neutral insect. The pest insect species in field at carrot are consist of 15 species: 1. Locusta sp (Orthoptera: Acrididae), 2. Gryllus sp. (Orthoptera: Gryllidae), 3. Gryllotalpa grylloialpa Burm (Orthoptera: Gryllotalpidae), 4. Batrocera sp. (Diptera: Tephritidae), 5. P sila sp. (Diptera: Psilidae), 6. Bothyrtus sp. (Coleoptera: 7. Cicindela sp. (Coleoptera: Cicindelidae), 8.. Lislronalus sp. (Coleoptera: Cleridae), 9. Semiaphis sp. (Homoptera: Aphididae), 10. Anagrapha sp. Melyridae),(Lepidoptera: Sphingidae). Five species other was grouped to Sphingidae: Lepidoptera two species and three species grouped to Coleoptera. The highest level of insect species diversity at three farmer carrot crops in Gunung Agung village is in the carrot crops field II. The result of research compiled in the form of tabulation, graphic and hereinafter in analyzing by descriptif.
