PERKEMBANGAN PENYAKIT PURU AKAR PADA TANAMAN TOMAT YANG DITANAM PADA TANAH BEKAS KENIKIR DENGAN BERAGAI KERAPATAN
The objective of the research was to investigate the development on root knot disease of tomato cultivated in the soil used to grow kenikir at various density andits biomass.The research was conducted in Nematological Laboratory and Glasshouse ofFaculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from January to May 2005. Theresearch was arranged in a Factorial Completely Randomised Design of two factori.e. factor number of kenikir (factor A) and Biomass of kenikir (factor B) with 5replication. Factor A comprised of Al (3 kenikir per pot), A2 (6 kenikir per pot),A3 (9 kenikir per pot) and factor B comprised of B I (Ali parts of kenikir mixedwith the soil) and B2 (root mixed with soil). The parameters observed were disease intensity, total gali, eggmass, population of nematode, fresh root weight, and fresh shoot weight.The result showed that the best number of kenikir to suppresed the intensity of demage, total gali, eggmass, population of nematode was 9 kenikir per pot
