PREVALENSI DAN KARAKTERISTIK KLINIS UVEITIS ANTERIORDI RSUP DR.MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE TAHUN 2017-2021
Uveitis is an inflammatory process in the uvea that can damage surrounding tissues. The most common type of uveitis is anterior uveitis. Some factors that cause uveitis are idiopathic, genetic, infectious, environmental, systemic disease and immunological reactions. Symptoms of uveitis are usually mild but can be severe. Based on the data and problems above, researchers are interested in conducting research on the prevalence and clinical characteristics of anterior uveitis in Dr.Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang for the period 2017-2021. This study is a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. Samples were taken using the total sampling method based on the medical records of anterior uveitis patients and the data were analyzed using univariate analysis and then presented in a frequency distribution table and explained in a narrative. The results of the study found that the incidence of anterior uveitis at Dr.Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang for the 2017-2021 period was the most in 2019 (30.0%). The most age range in this case is the age group 45-64 years (43.3%) and the percentage of both men and women is the same (50%). Clinical symptoms found visual impairment (96.7%), redness (56.7%), pain (33.3%), floater's (33.3%), epiphora (30.0%) and photophobia (23.3%). ). The causes in this case were caused by infection (46.7%), idiopathic (33.3%), autoimmune (6.7%), trauma (6.7%) and immunological reactions (0%). The most lateralization in this case was in the right eye (53.3%). Visual acuity was found to be mostly poor in the right eye (40.0%) and good in the left eye (43.3%). The intraocular pressure in this case was found to be mostly normal in both the left eye (73.3%) and the right eye (63.3%). Clinical signs found the most anterior chamber cells 0 (76.6%), the most flares 0 (86.7%), posterior synechiae (50%), precipitated keratic (53.3%), and hypopyon (10%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the prevalence of anterior uveitis was highest in 2019. The most common clinical symptoms were visual impairment and the most clinical signs were keratic precipitates. The most common cause is infection.
