KAJIAN TEKNIS SISTEM PENYALIRAN TAMBANG BATUBARA DI PIT C PT FIRMAN KETAUN KABUPATEN BENGKULU UTARA PROVINSI BENGKULU
PT Firman Ketaun is a company that belongs to the Wijaya Kusuma (WIKU) Group which is engaged in Coal Mining. The high intensity of rain in February 2021 resulted in a large amount of rainwater runoff entering pit C so that the sump at the mine site was unable to accommodate the incoming runoff and resulted in water overflow and coal mining activities experiencing obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a technical study of the drainage system. The purpose of this study was to examine the drainage capacity of the existing system including the calculation of the water discharge entering the mine, the sump dimension plan, the need for pumps and open channels. The research method used is a combination of theory and actual. The total discharge of water entering the mining area is 6,982.01 m3/day. The shape of the planned sump is a trapezoid with a volume of 20,941.53 m with a top length of 79 m, a bottom length of 73 m, an upper width of 59 m, a bottom width of 53 m, a sump height of 5 m, and a sump slope of 60º. The number of pumps needed is two units with a total discharge of 7,392 m3/day. The dimensions of the open channel are trapezoidal in shape with a channel depth of 1 m, a wall slope of 60°, a cross-sectional area of 1.732 m2, a water flow velocity of 0.115 m/s, and a base slope of 0.048%.
