ANALISIS PENGARUH EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM CSR (CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY) TERHADAP CITRA PERUSAHAAN PERTAMBANGAN BATUBARA PADA MASYARAKAT SEKITAR TAMBANG DI PT BATURONA ADIMULYA
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a form of company's commitment in carrying out its social responsibility to the society. CSR is related to the company's image which can be seen in the optimal implementation of activities, so that the CSR program targets can be achieved. As a mining company, PT Baturona Adimulya has implemented various CSR programs. This study aims to see the effect of CSR programs on the image of the mining company PT Baturona Adimulya. The research was conducted using a questionnaire instrument which was distributed to the Ring I society of the company. The results of the questionnaire obtained were then tested for validity, reliability, and normality. The Chi Square and factor analysis tests were done to see how the CSR program influences the company's image using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The characteristics of the society receiving CSR assistance from PT Baturona Adimulya who are in the company's Ring I, namely, West Supat village with the age ranges from 26 - 45 years. Most of them work as rubber and oil palm farmers with high school degree as their highest education level. The results of the analysis showed that the characteristics of the society had a weak influence on the company's image so that it did not provide a significant relationship to the factors that affected the image of the mining company PT Baturona Adimulya. Public perception of the implementation of the company's CSR program was limited to the aspect of benefit (effectiveness), which was 3.99. The society considered the aid program to be only charity, in a form of direct giving whose practice was less organized so that the perceived benefits have not reached the level of building community’s self-reliance, in which the majority of the society work as rubber and oil palm farmers. This background made the society's evaluation towards the implementation of the program was considering it unable to provide great benefits for the welfare of the village society. The implementation of the company's CSR assistance program in terms of each aspect, including the levels of relevance, sustainability, and empowerment, was at an average score of 3.46. The level of impact gave a score of 3.79 in the good category in providing CSR assistance through the assistance of facilities for village infrastructure development as well as direct ones such as social assistance, religious and youth affairs. Factor analysis showed that the factors affecting the image of the mining company PT. Baturona Adimulya through the CSR assistance program was the CSR assistance program has a good image in the society’s perspective. In other words, the company has carried out its responsibilities as a mining company which has high resistance to social and environmental conditions around mining areas. The company was able to build a good image by avoiding potential conflicts between the two. This character factor affected the company's image with an average score of 4.09.
