Over the last five years or so, fires have continued to occur in OKI Regency, including in Tulung Selapan district. Based on data obtained from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, the Tulung Selapan district area has the potential for forest and low to prone land fires. Tulung Selapan Subdistrict, is included in the Karang Agung Groundwater Basin (CAT), so it is thought to have great groundwater potential. From the results of 1D geoelectric measurements that have been carried out in Tulung Selapan Ulu village, which has a swampy sediment formation, on the 74 meter long cross 1 and 65 meter long cross 2 no water bearing layers were found. While the results of 1D geoelectric measurements carried out in Lebong Hitam village which also has a swampy sediment formation, on a 94-meter horizontal trajectory, a layer with resistivity ranging from 61.7 ohm meters at a depth of 19.3-36.3 meters is found which is a layer of sand. The groundwater flow system in this area based on its topography tends to lead from south to north with a more gentle landscape and also from east to west with a slightly steeper landscape. Based on the groundwater level obtained from community wells, the groundwater flow system tends to lead from the south to the north. In certain areas, forest and land areas that have the same geological conditions as Lebong Hitam Village may have layers with the same groundwater potential but at different depths. Thus, further research must be carried out on a larger scale so that it is hoped that it can be used for disaster management of forest and land fires, considering that in 2015 there were forest and land fires covering an area of 106,121 hectares.
