A tumor is an abnormal growth of body tissue in the body, it can be benign or malignant. According to data from the Department of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine, FKUI-Persahabatan Hospital, in the last 10 years there has been an increase in the incidence of lung tumors. At this time, it is still rare to find data that discusses the characteristics of tumor patients undergoing surgery, especially in Palembang. This motivated the author to choose the title "Characteristics of Lung Tumor Patients That Performed Surgery at Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital from January to July 2021" as the title of the study. This study is a descriptive study with a frequency distribution to describe the characteristics of lung tumor patients that performed surgery at the Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital from January to July 2021. In a seven-month period, 41 samples of lung tumor patients that performed surgery and met the inclusion criteria. The results of the study were 41 patients with lung tumors that performed surgery, the highest proportion occurred at the age of 40-60 years (70.7%), male sex (73.2%), length of stay
