IDENTIFIKASI PENGARUH VARIASI WARNA UNGU PADA FLY GRILL TERHADAP KEPADATAN VEKTOR LALAT (STUDI DI TEMPAT PEMBUANGAN SEMENTARA KARANG RAJA, KOTA PRABUMULIH)
Flies are insects that can recognize colour because they are phototropic insects that are attracted to and are sensitive to colour waves. However, not all colours can be recognized and liked by flies because they are only sensitive to certain colours. Flies are more attracted to bright colour than any other colours. One of the colour that flies like is purple because its wavelength is the peak colour sensitivity by flies, which is 330 - 450 nm. This study aims to identify the effect of using variations of the purple colour on the fly grill on fly density. The research was conducted at the Temporary Disposal Site, Karang Raja, Prabumulih City. This type of research is an experimental study with a post-test only control group design approach and the measurement of flies using a fly grill tool. The sample in this study were members of the fly population who perched on the fly grill. The sampling technique was accidental. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis (one-way ANOVA). The results showed that there was a significant difference between a light magenta purple fly grill and a dark purple colour (p - value = 0.018; MD = 12.27500). This study concludes that there is a significant difference in light magenta - dark purple fly grill and dark purple - light magenta fly grill. Light magenta colour has the highest fly density while dark purple has the lowest fly density. It is recommended for the public to carry out fly control efforts by using a fly trap that has been given the colour the flies like, namely purple.
