ANALISIS FAKTOR RISIKO KEJADIAN OPHTHALMOPATHY GRAVES DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 2018-2021
Graves' ophthalmopathy is an eye disorder from autoimmune thyroid disease that causes a clinical picture of superior palpebra retraction, lid lag, proptosis, restrictive myopathy, and dysthyroid optic neuropathy. This disorder is often found in hyperthyroidism but can occur in euthyroid and hypothyroid patients. The prevalence of Graves' Ophthalmopathy clinically in Indonesia is 37%. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for Graves' Ophthalmopathy at Dr. Mohammmad Hoesin Palembang period 2018-2021 This study is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional study design. The study sample was a patient of Grave’s Ophthalmopathy patient at RSUP Dr. Mohammmad Hoesin Palembang period 2018-2021. Sampling using consecutive sampling technique and analyzed by Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between variables. From 117 patients with Graves' Ophthalmopathy, 89 patient that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The highest proportion of patients with Graves' Ophthalmopathy was in the inactive phase (89.9%), 30-50 years old (43.8%), female (80.9%), hyperthyroid (77.5%), no history of comorbidities (95.5%), and did not smoke (95.5%). The results of the analysis using the Chi-square test showed that there was no significant relationship between risk factors for thyroid function status (p=0,518), history of comorbidities (p=0,209), and smoking history (p=0,311) on the incidence of Graves' Ophthalmopathy. There is no significant relationship between risk factors for thyroid function status, history of comorbidities, and history of smoking on the incidence of patients with Graves' Ophthalmopathy.
