PENGARUH APLIKASI PUPUK DAUN BERBASIS EKSTRAK KOMPOS KULIT UDANG TERHADAP PENYAKIT BUSUK JANUR BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) YANG DISEBABKAN OLEH Ceratocystis sp.
The objective of the research was to find the effect of foliar fertilizer formulated from Shrimps Shell Compost Extract (SSCE) on common spear rot of oil palm seedling caused by Ceratocystis sp. The research was conducted in Phytopathology Laboratory and experiment field of Plant Pest and Disease Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from November 2008 until January 2009. The research was designed by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment. They were 2% pure SSCE, 1,5% mixture of SSCE and NPK, and 1,5% mixture of SSCE, NPK and Boron, and control, with ten replications. Application was done by single spraying of the fertilizer on ten of eight-month-old oil palm seedling, 24 hour latter, youngest spear leaf of the seedling were inoculated with a culture plug of two-day-old Ceratocystis sp. Lession area, spore density and spear elongation on inoculated spear leaf was measured 18 days after inoculated. The result showed that single sprayed shrimp shell compost extract based foliar fertilizers did not significantly affect the lession area, spore density, and spear elongation. SSCE based foliar fertilizers were relatively increased lession area, but with less spore density. Pure SSCE was relatively promoted spear elongation than when mixed with anorganic fertilizer.
