Background: Covid-19 is a highly contagious and unresolved infectious disease to date. Antibiotic resistance is a very serious problem, especially in Indonesia. If Covid-19 patient is accompanied to infection by one of the bacteria that can cause antibiotik resistance, namely Klebsiella pneumonia with produce Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) then the patient's morbidity and mortality are increasing. Therefore, research is needed on the characteristics of resistance of Covid-19 patients infected with Klebsiella pneumonia with produce Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) so as to help patients in the prevention and control of infectious diseases at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital. Method: This study is an observational descriptive in the form of secondary data containing the status of Covid-
19 patients infected with Klebsiella pneumonia with produce Extended-spectrum β lactamase (ESBL)in the central laboratory installation of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital during the period January 2021-June 2021. The sample in this study was all medical record data of patients who met the inclusion criteria. Result: Prevalence of Covid-19 patients infected with Klebsiella pneumonia with produce Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital is 48.6% and the most resistant to antibiotics: sefazolin (100%), seftriakson (100%), and ampiciline/AMP (100%). Conclusion: The prevalence of Covid-19 patients infected with Klebsiella pneumonia with produce Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital is 48.6% and the most resistant to antibiotics, namely beta-lactam (sefazolin, seftriakson, and ampiciline / AMP).
