The present study aims to examine whether there is a role of self-compassion toward fear of failure among young adult who take a gap-year. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a role of self-compassion toward fear of failure. Participants in this study were 200 young adult who take a gap-year and will take the UTBK 2021 test. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The measuring instruments used are self-compassion scale which refers to Neff’s (2003) self-compassion aspect and fear of failure scale which refers to Conroy’s (2001) fear of failure aspect.
