In rice field, several of pests attack on the rice and reduce production of rice. One of insect pests is Rice bug (Leptocorixa acuta Thunb.). Rice bug is the important pest, therefore it is need to be controlled, such as by using fungal entomopathogenes B. bassiana and Metarhizium sp. The objectives of this research were to investigate the eficacy of formulation B. bassiana and Metarhizium sp. inocula to control the L acuta nymphs -it was shown by the rate of mortality-, and LT50 value. The research was conducted in Entomologycal Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University ffom December 2QQ7 to June 2008. The research was designed by Completely Randomized Design (CDR) with two isolates B. bassiana and Metarhizium sp. Which were cultures, on rice, com, SDB and yeast. They were applied with the volume : (equal with 107 conidia/ml) lOmp to rice bug nymph instar 3, with three times application. The morphology of infected nymph after applied shown decrease in moving and eating. The nymph infected by B. bassiana shown the body were covered by whitey mycelia. While the nymph infected by Metarhizium sp. was shown by mummification and covered by green mycelia The mortality of nymph after applied was more than 50%. The highest mortality was 66.67% It showed that K bassiana and Metarhizium sp. which was formulated with, effective to controlled the L. acuta nymph. Each bioinsecticide formulations has different LT50 value. The results showed the best LT50 value was 4.14 days at Metarhizium sp. on yeast.
