The objective of this research was to investigate the influence of concentration of neem seed extract toward mortality and level attack of Epilachna sparsa in eggplant plantation. The research was conducted from August to December 2005 in experimental farm of Agricultural Faculty, University of Sriwijaya, Indralaya. This research was designed in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 4 treatments and 6 replications. Neem seed extract were used in a serial concentration, i.e: A (0%), B (3%), C (6%) and D (9%) The results showed that application of neem seed extract can decrease the egg situating, causing death of larva and E. sparsa imago. The application of neem seed extract has no effect to the attack percentage of E. sparsa in eggplant crop, but it can decrease the attack intensity of E. sparsa up to 61.82% with the treatment of neem seed extract at the concentration of 9%. The higher concentration of neem seed extract which passed to an eggplant crop, the lower intensity and attack percentage of E. sparsa i n eggplant crop.
