The objectives of this research was to study the effects of Lansium domesticum rind flour on the development of S. zeamais feeding on maize grain in Laboratory. The research was conducted in Laboratory of Entomology, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, fnderalaya,from October 2005 to February 2006.The research was arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) withflve treatments and six replications. AU data collected were anaiyzed using Analysisof Variance followed by Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The parametersobserved were damage intensity, adult mortality and adult population.The highest damage intensity was of control amounted to 18.00% while thelowest was of treatment at a doses of 1.5 g L. domesticum rind flour amount 9.66%.The highest percentage of adult mortality was found five weeks after infestation in treatment of L. domesticum rind flour at a doses of 1.5 g/100 g maize grain amounted to 50.00%, while the control value was 16.66%. The highest adult emergence was of control amounted to 32 w'as the lowest was of treatment at a dosesof 1.5 g L. domesticum rind flour amounted 11.00.
