This study aims to (1) Know the changes in social behavior before and when Covid 19 occurs in poor farmers in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District (2) Knowing changes in economic activity before and when Covid 19 occurs in poor farmers in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District (3). farming development strategies when Covid 19 occurred among poor farmers in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District. This research was conducted in Pulokerto Sub-District, Ogan Ilir Regency, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. Data collection was carried out in March 2021. The research method used in this study was a survey method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The sampling method used in this study was the simple random sampling method, with a sample of 37 poor rice farmers from 237 total poor rice farmers. The data processing method used in this study used normality test analysis and paired two-sample t-test and SWOT analysis. The results showed that there was a change in social behavior before and during Covid 19 among poor farmers in Pulokerto Village, Gandus District, including Knowledge, Attitudes and Skills. Average capital from Rp2.904.984,13/lg/year or Rp3.746.480,65/ha/year before the Covid-19 occurred to Rp2.893.270,89/lg/year or Rp3.765.179,24 /ha/year at the time of Covid-19, the allocation of manpower from 385.59 HOK/lg/year or 486.35 HOK/ha/year before the Covid-19 occurred to 382.14 HOK/lg/year or 489,30 HOK/ha/year at the time of Covid-19, income from Rp16.162.743,60/lg/year or Rp17.628.225,54/ha/year before the Covid-19 occurred to Rp16.506.444,70/lg/year or Rp17.799.926,64/ha/year at the time of Covid-19 and the household expenditure of poor farmers from Rp29.716.073,51/year before the Covid-19 occurred to Rp28.086.054,06/year at the time of Covid-19. Meanwhile, the land area did not change, which was 0.78 Ha. The strategy to maintain rice farming during the Covid-19 period in Pulokerto Village is in the first quadrant of the Aggressive Strategy, meaning where the situation is very profitable.
