The objective of this study was to investigate the effectivity of rind flour of Lansium domesticum Corr. (“duku”) to of development cowpea weevil, Callosobruchus chinensis L., and mung been germination after application of rindflour of“duku”in laboratory.The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Entomology, Department ofPlant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Inderalaya,from July until September 2004.The experimental design used in this study was factorial randomizedcomplete design with two treatments and each was replicated three times. The datacollected were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Least Significant Different Test at5% significant level.The results of observation showed that rind flour of duku increased thedeath of C. chinensis and decreased the amount of eggs laid on mung bean surface. The highest percentage of mortality in plastic bowl with 4% concentration treatment was 89.094% and the lowest in control with plastic bowl was 37.120%.The highest mortality of adult was 100% at the 4th day of observation. Thehighest of eggs production was in control using flour sack, i.e. 259 eggs, while thelowest was on 4% concentration of plastic bowl treatment. The LD50 of plastic bowltreatment was 2.38% and the LD5q of flour sack treatment was 1.87%.
