The aims of this study is to assess soil organic matter content on Dillenia aurea, Vitex sp, Schima wallicii, Peronema cancescen, and Acacia mangium Stumpages. The study was carried out in Wanariset Kemampo, Kayu Ara Kuning Village Banyuasin District.Field acivities had been done in May-June 2010. Soil samples are analized at Soil Science Laboratory, Agricultural Faculty of Sriwijaya University. This study used a map with scale 1: 6200 which covers of 34.2 ha study area thatconsists of Dillenia aurea, Vitex sp, Schima walliciiPeronema cancescen, andAcacia mangium Stumpages. Every 2 ha of land in each stand represented a soilsample taken in the composite. Soil sampling was determined on land that has thesame slope (flat). Observations carried out by using the plot of a litter ffame size 1m x 1 m, then taken to a distance of ± 1 meter of soil sampling points. Litter consists of leaves and twigs. Litter collected from each point of observation (samples) ffom each of the 5 Stumpages taken place with the distance of 25 meters diagonally, then were measured. The results showed that soil organic matter content on their respective stands are relatively equal even though there is little bit different. The soil organic matter data are: Schima wallicii Stumpage 3.71% (medium), PeronemacanescenStumpage 3.58% (low), Vitex sp Stumpage 3.39% (low), Acacia mangiumStumpage 3.05% (low). Acacia litter are 301.1Stumpage 3.12% (low), and Dillemamangium Stumpage and Vitex sp have contributed the highest g/m2, and then Dillenia aurea Stumpage 233 g/m2, and the lowest are Peronema Stumpage and Schima wallicii Stumpage (180.3 g/m2each).aureacanescen
