PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SARI BUAH BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) TERHADAP KUALITAS TELUR ITIK PEGAGAN FASE II

Pegagan ducks are local South Sumatra ducks that get produce meat and eggs. Efforts to improve egg quality with how to present a feed additive as a feed additive. Giving organik acids as a feed additive to substitute for the use of banned antibiotics, used to maintain the digestive system system balance of microflora in the digestive tract of ducks. One of the sources Natural organic acids can be obtained from the content of starfruit juice. This study aims to determine the effect of offering fruit juice starfruit on egg weight, egg white index, egg yolk index, and Haugh's unit to Phase II Pegagan Duck egg. This research was conducted in a cage Trial of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya for two months. This study used 9 months old pegagan ducks as many as 45 duks. The method of this research is a method Completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications consisting of: P0 (Control), P1 (drinking water + 4% starfruit solution), P2 (drinking water + Starfruit solution 6%), P3 (drinking water + 8% starfruit solution), P4 (drinking water + 10% starfruit solution). The data obtained were analyzed with variance, if there is a significant difference between treatments it is necessary with the Duncan test. The variables observed included Egg Weight, Egg White Index, Egg Yolk Index, and Haugh Units. The research of result shows the organic acid from starfruit juice get the highest score on the egg index, egg white index, yolk index eggs, and haugh units. The conclusion of this study is that it offers tamarind organic from starfruit juice has not had an effect on egg weight, egg white index, egg yolk index, and haughunits.
