The research objective was to determine of effect of soil moisture content on the soil stickiness of the moldboard plow surface coated by copper in tillage ultisol soil. The method used was Factorial Randomized Block Design which consist two treatment factors and each treatment was repeated three times. The first factor was material type (A) and the second soil moisture content (B). Type material have two level of treatments with type material are steel and copper and soil moisture content have three level treatment are wet soil moisture content, medium soil moisture content and dry soil moisture content. Observation parameters are soil stickiness (g), change in moldboard working depth (cm), change in moldboard cutting width (cm), height of plowed soil (cm) and inverted soil width (cm). The results showed that the type of moldboard material had a significant effect on the soil stickiness. Soil stickiness of the steel moldboard and coated by copper increases with the increase in the moisture content of the soil. Average of soil stickiness with wet soil moisture content using a steel moldboard plow of 316.23 g and a moldboard plow using a copper layer of 79.03 g. soil stickiness with medium soil moisture content using a steel moldboard plow of 120.63 g and a moldboard plow using a copper layer of 77.80 g. Soil stickiness with dry soil moisture content using steel moldboard plow of 82.03 g and moldboard plow using copper layer of 7.23 g.
