The objective of research was to know the effect mixtures of a chitinous material derived from carb waste (25%), neem meal (50%), and Nitrogen manure(25%) for control of root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita L.) on soybean.The research was conducted under field condition and NematologicalLaboratory of Departmen of Plant Pest and Disease. Agriculture Faculty of SriwijayaUniversity. from September to December 2005. The research was arranged in aCompletely Randomized Design. with six treatments and four replications. The treatments were A (control with Carbofuran), B (control with nematodes). C (chitin 6.25 g/5 kg soil), D (mixture of chitin, neem meal and Nitrogen manure 0,25 %). E (mixture of chitin, neem meal and Nitrogen manure 0,5 %), and F (mixture of chitin, neem meal and Nitrogen manure 0,75 %).The result showed that the best treatment was F. Anova single factor analyses showed that the mixtures was significantly reduced nematode populations in the roots, and significantly increased fresh roots weights. But the mixture of chitin. meal. and Nitrogen manureneem not significantly reduced nematode populations in the rhizosphcre and increased fresh shoot weights of soybean.
