This research was conducted in Mulia Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. Data collection was carried out in February. The research method used is survey method. The data used was consisted of primary data and secondary data. The sampling method used in this study was a disproportional stratified random sampling, with a sample of 60 farmers, namely 30 farmers who cultivate without tillage and 30 farmers who cultivate with a perfect tillage system. Data were processed using Likert scale, normality test, Independent Sample t-Test, and binary logistic. The results showed that the maize cultivation system without tillage (TOT) in Mulia Sari Village included several stages of the implementation of corn cultivation techniques, namely the selection of varieties and seeds, land preparation, planting, fertilizer application, maintenance, harvest and post harvest. The implementation of cultivation is good in accordance with the technical guidelines of the 2018 Agricultural Technology Research Center. The socio-economic benefits of no tillage system for cultivation in Mulia Sari Village include 1) high efficiency in the use of labor and other financial resources; 2) improvement of health and nutritional conditions; 3) reducing the frequency of flooding and its damage to public facilities such as roads, bridges, schools, and others; 4) more time available for other on-farm activities; 5) more time is available for off-farm activities. The economic benefits obtained from the income aspect was that, the income of farmers with TOT was IDR9.361.864,85 per arable area per planting season and farmer income with OTS was IDR8.735.614,00 per arable area per planting season. The difference in income was of 6,69%. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the income of farmers who practiced TOT and farmers who OTS. The factors that influence the farmers' decision to carry out TOT in farming were the amount of labor, farming experience, production, and production costs.
