PROFIL KLINIS DAN TATALAKSANA PASIEN DISORDER OF SEX DEVELOPMENT (DSD) DI RSMH PALEMBANG TAHUN 2019-2021
Introduction: Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) are defined as congenital conditions in which the development of chromosomes, gonads, or genital anatomy does not match. The approximate ratio of people with DSD is 1:2000 to 1:4500. The clinical profile data and management of DSD patients, which is the main objective of this study, is expected to be able to see the clinical profile and management of DSD patients and can also be used as a comparison for further research. Method: Observational descriptive studby by using case series approach. This study used secondary data in the form of medical records of DSD patients at RSMH Palembang who met the inclusion criteria. Result: Of the 82 samples obtained on sociodemographic characteristics, it was found that the age majority of DSD patients was the late-childhood group (30.5%), the gender majority was male (91.5%), and the area where they lived the most was Palembang. (45.1%).On the diagnosis data,the most common diagnosis was hypospadias (45.1%). Meanwhile, on the treatment data, the most common type of therapy was surgical therapy (79.3%), and the most common therapy was orchidopexy (32.9%). Conclusion: DSD patients at RSMH palembang showed varied diagnoses and therapies.In RSMH, diagnosis is still being made by only considering the clinical findings to diagnose DSD patients.
