EVALUASI ISOLAT CENDAWAN PEMACU PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN ASAL TANAH RAWA LEBAK DALAM MENGENDALIKAN PENYAKIT REBAH KECAMBAH PADA TANAMAN CABAI
The objective of the experiment was to asses the ability of isolates Fusarium sp., Phoma sp., sterile fungi P12BT, F12BT and F13BT as Plant Growth Promoting Fungi (PGPF) to control Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn causing damping-off diseases in pepper seedlings. The experiment was conducted in Mycological Laboratory and Greenhouse, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University Inderalaya, ffom September to December 2006. The experiment was analysed using by description method that showed by tabulation with 23 treatments and 3 replications. The PGPF isolates used i. e; 8 Fusarium sp., 3 Phoma sp., 8 sterile fungi, P12BT, F12BT, F13BT isolates and control. Damping-off diseases, disease severity, height and ffesh weight were measured. The results showed that the Fusarium sp., Phoma sp., sterile fungi, P12BT, F12BT and F13BT isolates, suppressed post-emergence damping-off and diseases severity with average percentage suppression Fusarium sp. 38,05% and 44,77%; Phoma sp. 42,78% and 53,52%; sterile fungi 41,96% and 49,97%; by P12BT, F12BT and F13BT are 53,13% and 67,58%. The PGPF isolates increased plant growth that height with average percentage only by sterile fungi 4,08% and Fusarium sp. 1,45%; increasing fresh weight by PGPF showed percentage by Phoma sp. 23,25%, Fusarium sp. 20,73%, sterile fungi 19,32% and P12BT, F12BT, F13BT 11,73%.
