PERKEMBANGAN PARASITOID Psyttalia fletcheri SILVESTRI (HYMENOPTERA: BRACONIDAE) PADA LALAT BUAH Bactrocera dorsalis HEND (DIPTERA: TEPHRITIDAE) DI LABORATORIUM
The objectivies of this research were to determine the parasitism of Psyttalia Jletcheri ( Silvestri) on fruitflies (Baclrocera dorsalis) Hend. that attacked chilie’s plant and to know it’s immature development periods. This research was conducted at the farmer field and Entomology Laboratory Department of Plant Pest and Diseases Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University. The observation was done in direct survey on parasitoid development at fruitflies larvae and it’s parasitism in laboratory. The parameter of the research were the parasitism parasitoid, immature development periods, longevity of parasitoid and the number of progeny and the ratio of female and male, as well. The result showed that average of parasitism was 40.46%. The highest one was 45.46%. The immatures development periods average was 25 days. The average longevity of P. Jletcheri adult kept in 5 °C average was 12.4 days. The most common appeared of parasitoid was female.
