KARAKTERISTIK DAN FAKTOR RISIKO PASIEN ADENOMIOSIS DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 2018-2020
Adenomyosis is a common disorder of the uterus that can cause the enlargement of the uterine size and abnormal menstrual bleeding. Adenomyosis can cause chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, infertility, and other adverse obstetric outcomes. It is estimated that Adenomyosis affects 10 to 80% of pre-menopausal women. Risk factors for Adenomyosis itself can be influenced by several factors such as age, early menarche, increased BMI, parity, short menstrual cycles, and smoking history. This study aims to determine the characteristics and risk factors that most adenomyosis patients experience with.
This study is a descriptive observational study conducted from September 2021 to November 2021. The subject of this study is the medical record data of adenomyosis patients in the Medical Record Installation of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang 2018-2020. Data is collected using the total sampling technique with a cross-sectional study design.
The prevalence of adenomyosis patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang 2018-2020 is 9%. The characteristic that most often occurs in patients with adenomyosis is dysmenorrhea. The risk factors that caused adenomyosis found in this study were age, menarche age, parity, length of menstruation, and history of uterine surgery. Patients with adenomyosis are also found to have endometriosis.
