ANALISIS PENINGKATAN KADAR PASIR BESI MENGGUNAKAN SHAKING TABLE UNTUK MEMENUHI KEBUTUHAN INDUSTRI SPONGE IRON SESUAI STANDAR NASIONAL INDONESIA
Mineral processing activities are activities to increase the value of minerals. One of the tools commonly used is the shaking table by using the principle of differences in density. The applied variable becomes a benchmark for the acquisition of concentrate that is as expected. The level is the standard for the success of the processing carried out. The application of the variable stroke frequency and riffle slope which is applied to the separation of iron sand with impurities to obtain the number of fe according to the SNI criteria and ESDM Ministerial Regulation No. 5 of 2017 for the sponge iron industry. Initially, the average Fe content before processing was 20.11% of the total sample weight of 1000 grams. Various results were generated after processing using predetermined variables. This research resulted in a level gain that was inversely proportional to recovery. These gains resulted from the higher the frequency of strokes, the higher the levels but the lower the recovery. For the slope of the riffle, the higher the concentration, but the lower the recovery. The highest levels were found in the 90 stroke frequency variable and the 40o riffle slope of 55.38%. The highest recovery was found in the 30 stroke frequency variable and 0o riffle tilt with a value of 90.85%. This calculation is obtained after conducting microscopic analysis with the Grain Counting Analysis or GCA method.
