Ovarian malignant tumours is a gynecological malignancy with the highest mortality. Immunotherapy, being the main treatment modality, has shown poor efficacy due to the heterogenity of TILs in TME. It is important for us to identify the distribution and density of TILs in TME based on clinicohistopathological characteristics.
This type of research is analytic observational with aapproach cross sectional. The sample of this study was tissue with H&E staining of paraffin block diagnosed as ovarian malignant tumor as the primary data of this study. Secondary data are clinicohistopathological characteristics obtained through medical records. TILs were counted in the stromal and intratumoral areas of ovarian malignant tumor tissue. Then the comparison of TILs density based on clinicohistopathological characteristics was seen.
In this study, the highest incidence of ovarian malignant tumours was found in histopathological features of MOC (25,4%) and HGSC (22.2%), age >45 years (58.7%), late stage (56.7%), tumor size >20 cm (38, 1%), nodule N0 (36.1%), and had close metastases (73%). In this study, there was no significant comparison between TILs in TME and clinicohistopathological characteristics of patients with malignant ovarian tumors (p > 0.05).
The highest incidence of ovarian malignant tumors in this study was found in the histopathological features of MOC dan HGSC, age >45 years, late stage, tumor size >20 cm, nodule N0, and had close metastases. In this study, there was no statistically significant comparison between TILs in TME and the clinicohistopathological characteristics of ovarian malignant tumor patients (p > 0.05).
