PENGARUH KECEPATAN POTONG, KEDALAMAN POTONG RADIAL DAN AXIAL TERHADAP KEKASARAN PERMUKAAN PADA PROSES FRAIS KRIOGENIK
In the modern era, major research work focusing on the areas of green technology and sustainability engineering is developing. The most important sustainability concern is the use of cutting fluids in the machining process. The use of conventional cutting fluids in the machining process causes health problems, environmental pollution and high costs. One of the sustainability cutting fluids is the cryogenic CO2. This study to perform mathematical modeling on surface roughness. In the milling process, cryogenic coolant is used to measure the surface roughness of S50C medium carbon steel. Variations in machining parameters are cutting speed (Vc), radial depth of cut (ar), axial depth of cut (ax). The dependent variable in this study is the roughness parameters (Ra). The smallest surface roughness is obtained using the Surface Methodology Response (RSM) of 0.625 μm. These results were obtained using a cutting speed of 31.10 m/min, a radial cutting depth of 0.2 mm, and a axial cutting depth of 5 mm.
