Palembang has various types of tourism such as culinary, shopping, religion, history and nature, besides that Palembang also has trade potential on the banks of the Musi River, and the Musi River is famous as a tourist icon for Palembang City. Along the banks of the Musi River, there are various kinds of history in it, one of which is in Kapitan Village. Based on these supporting factors, a Souvenir Market and Culinary Center were created as supporting facilities for tourism activities in Palembang City. The design concept applied to the building is in harmony with the buildings around Kampung Kapitan with the aim of preserving the historical building forms in Kampung Kapitan with several buildings that function as a souvenir market and also a culinary center building aimed at historical tours and shopping as a sector. trade support in Palembang City. Another supporting concept is the use of the Musi River with the aim of strengthening the riverbank architecture as a means of supporting river tourism activities, with several piers in each building used as a means of transportation as well as tourism, on the riverbanks are also used as a trading area using a getek boat fleet between sellers and also a buyer. The structural system used in buildings uses pile foundations to strengthen the stage system in the building. The utility system prioritizes the waste filtration section using a bio septic tank and further filtration in the form of wetland plants around the edges of the building where the water will then flow back into the river.
