The increasing rate of population growth is not in line with the results of food production to meet people's consumption needs and the decrease in the amount of agricultural land. Swamp as an alternative land, considering that swamp has a lot of potential to support food sovereignty, especially rice as a staple food for the community and Palembang City has a lot of swamp land. Wetland agriculture and fisheries research center is a solution to this problem by facilitating research, administration, and education activities that will later support growth and contribute to Indonesia's food strength. In order to maintain the surrounding environment, the agricultural and fisheries research center uses a contextual approach by considering land conditions in the form of swamps and tropical climates and building functions. Responding to the condition of the land in the form of swamps, the building was made on a stage. The use of a gable roof to respond to the tropical climate so that the building does not overheat.
