ANALISA DISSIMILAR WELDING BAJA KARBON RENDAH DAN BAJA KARBON TINGGI MENGGUNAKAN SMAW DENGAN ELEKTRODA E7018 ARUS I=100A PADA KONDISI AS WELD
Welding is one of the metal splicing methods that are widely used for building construction. Dissimilar welding is the dissimilar release of different materials that are not same. Welding using SMAW with Low Carbon Steel and High Carbon Steel material.Research objective to analyze physical, mechanical properties and review defects arising in dissimilar welding connections. The result of dye penetrant test found porosity on the weld surface due to electrodes is not too dry in oven and there is an excess of electrode fluid in the welding groove resulting (Undercut). Furthermore, macrostructure testing is carried out to see spread of HAZ (Heat Affected Zone). Surface defects look like porosity, holes, and splashes from electrodes due to high welding current at the time of welding (spatter). While microstructure testing saw structure of LCS, HCS, and welding metal. This could prove an increase violence in HAZ areas as well the decline in HAZ area. The appearance various constituents of steel such ferrite, pearlite appear on LCS while in HCS martensite looks. In addition, visible defects caused by the heating of electrodes are less than the maximum in the presence of inclusion. Other test results are directly proportional to results obtained in bending test results where the test process starts from roots of weld to surface of welding metal the average value of bending test objects is 498.6681525 Mpa while for hard values per line obtained in hardness testing obtained an average of 3.08, 3,154, 3,102, and 3.01 where greater value means the harder value.
