The progress of higher education has an important role in campus life, this progress can be seen from the library and laboratory. Sriwijaya University Libraries are located in Indralaya and Bukit but have different facilities, services and library conditions. In addition, the limited land on the big hill campus makes the library building share with the medical faculty building. So it is necessary to develop services, facilities, functional, aesthetic and adequate for the Unsri library building on the Bukit Besar campus of Palembang. In designing the college library, the building will use a modern style on the facade, interior and materials. The form of a single mass in the center of the site with an open building orientation and glass and latticework as a response to limited land. The grouping of types of spatial activities in buildings that are interconnected through typical and open stairs emphasizes an interactive and social environment. The use of a rigid frame structure is due to the large floor area and the use of a wide-span truss roof for column-free space. Natural lighting systems are obtained from glass openings and lattices. The provision of plazas and public spaces in buildings as a response to the potential of the site is very good because the location of the site is at the intersection of the area, surrounded by contours and green open areas as well as supporting the hill campus area which has little public space.
