PERENCANAAN ULANG DIMENSI BALOK DAN KOLOM STRUKTUR BETON BERTULANG STUDI KASUS GEDUNG PROGRAM D4 POLITEKNIK NEGERI SRIWIJAYA
Seismic activity and high chance of earthquakes are the main reasons why buildings in Indonesia must withstand on lateral loads which regulated in SNI 1726-2019. The design of a structure building must be efficient but it also safe against all of loads by still following the applicable standards, which is SNI 2847-2019. This research is doing a re-design of dimension of beam and column by taking case study of D4 Program Sriwijaya State Polytechnic Building using the Special Moment Bearer Frame System (SRPMK). The system should be in accordance with the concept of strong column-weak beam, where the beam is expected to collapse earlier than the column. Modeling is carried out with the help of SAP 2000 v.14 program. The result of this redesign is a change dimension in beams and columns, from the previous 2 types of beam’s and 3 types of column’s dimension to a total of 5 types of beam’s and column’s dimension. Volume savings due to dimensional changes are 13,948% in beams and 44,694% in columns. However, the performance of the structure in the form of story drift in the existing design has a better value than the result of the alternative design, but both of the designs are still under the maximum value of story drift.
