Air pollution due to the construction sector is high. To overcome this problem, adopting green buildings is one solution. Green buildings are buildings that use environmental principles so that they have energy savings. The purpose of this study was to determine the basic knowledge, understanding of the criteria, and barriers in adops the concept of green buildings in South Sumatra by planning consultants. The methodology used in this research is by distributing questionnaires to planning consultants. Where, the questionnaire was distributed online via Google Form and visited the planning consultant office directly. The questionnaire was assessed using multiple choice and a Likert scale. The results of the questionnaire were tested for the validity and reliability of the data using SPSS version 25, after which the percentage of respondents 'answers was tested, the tendency of respondents' answers, and the mean data test assisted by the Microsoft Excel application. The results of this study on the feasibility variable found that the respondents already knew the term green buildings, the feasibility variable most understood the building function according to the spatial plans, then for the criteria variable the most understanding of the room must have ventilation, and the biggest obstacle was the socialization of green buildings. From this research, it is found that the planning consultants are ready for green buildings in the South Sumatra region.
