ANALISIS RASIO ELEMEN PENAMPANG PADA STRUKTUR RANGKA BAJA TIPE X BRACED CONCENTRICALLY BRACED FRAME
The use of X CBF steel frame is an effective way to realize earthquake-resistant buildings. In this study, the ratio of the bracing cross-sectional elements between the two structural models was compared using the time history analysis method. The regional earthquake data used is the Mentawai Islands. Model #1 uses WB 400 steel profiles for columns and bracing, and WB 600 for beams. While model #2 was modified by trial and error with the help of the program, so that the optimum profile was obtained, column W 14X500 on floors 1-4, W 14X426 on floors 5-10, W 14X132 on beams, and W 12X87 on bracing. This study aims to analyze the response of the structure due to the earthquake plan and determine the profile that has the most optimum performance and is safe to use. The analysis is done by comparing the 3 main parameters, namely displacement, velocity, and acceleration which are presented in the form of tables and graphs. Based on the analysis results, model #2 is better in responding to earthquake forces than model #1. This can be seen from the value of displacement, speed, and acceleration, model #1 which is bigger than model #2. The maximum displacement is 210 mm, the maximum speed is 304.1 mm/s, and the maximum acceleration is 1106 mm/s2. In terms of optimum performance and safety, model #2 is safer to use than model #1, this can be seen from the maximum stress ratio value in type X CBF bracing model #1 of 4.436, while the maximum stress ratio of model #2 is 0.896.
